Organizational Development, Inspired by Nature
Are you open to learn about Organizational Development in a new way?
A way that is inspired by nature?
Developed and hosted by Gian Paul Ganzoni, Organizational Development Strategist with The Outside, this 9-week online training will introduce you to the basics of learning from nature (Biomimicry), organizational development (OD lenses), and systems thinking, to build a bridge between and across these bodies of knowledge. Bring your practical challenges to learn and apply with others!
This is a program for leaders, facilitators and consultants working with Organizational Development challenges who wish to address them with fresh perspectives, inspired by Nature. This program is also for Biomimicry practitioners who wish to explore the opportunity to apply their knowledge in the space of Organizational Development.
This program combines selected concepts from Organizational Development, Biomimicry and Systems Thinking. We introduce concepts from these fields to provoke and provide fresh perspectives and inspiration.
Inspired by nature, the BERKANA TWO LOOPS is a big picture map of how change happens. Knowing where you - and others' - are on this map helps you more deliberately and effectively design interventions for equitable and enduring change. The Outside’s clients and collaborators experience leaps in understanding and practical alternatives to get unstuck. If you want to dive deep, see far, and reorient your approach for great impact, take the leap with us!

"The Outside are amazing change leaders - singular at cracking open complex systems, ideas, mindsets, beliefs - and highlighting ways to be inclusive, and ways to design programs with that inclusivity top of mind. So many systems need foundational change, not surface look/feel upgrades. Many organizations have been caught in old question paradigms. The Outside’s online programs helped our team find questions we needed to ask - the ones that we, unconsciously or consciously, were not examining - which in turn lead us to pivot and develop opportunities for equity and fairness, collaboration, and improved outcomes for our clients through responsive programming."
